HOMER -- The North Hall baseball team defeated Banks County 8-5 on Wednesday in Homer.
Andrew Smith helped pace the Trojans (10-6, 8-3 Region 7-AAA) at the plate, going 2 for 2 with three runs scored. McCoy Savage also went 3 for 4, with two RBI, while Micah Strickland, Stephen Murray, Drew Atha, and Taber Mongero also had hits.
Josh Hammond earned the win on the mound, pitching a complete game and allowing seven hits while striking out two.
North Hall will play host to Banks County on Friday.
