UPDATE: Prep schedule being hampered by weather, again

By Jeff Hart Sports Reporter
The rain Thursday night and anticipated further bad weather Friday and Saturday is already having an affect on the prep schedule for Friday.

The Fannin County at Dawson County baseball game for Friday has been called off. The two teams have scheduled a doubleheader in Dawsonville for Monday.

The Banks County at East Hall baseball game also was called off. That game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 1.

The Cedar Shoals at Flowery Branch baseball game has been called off. No makeup date has been announced as of yet.

The Johnson at Monroe Area baseball game has been rescheduled for Tuesday in Monroe.

The Athens Christian at Lakeview Academy baseball game has been canceled. The two teams have reschedule the game for Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Gainesville.

The Lakeview Academy-George Walton Academy soccer games scheduled for Friday also have been canceled.

However, two key Region 7-AAA baseball matchups are still on as of 1:30 p.m. The White County and North Hall and West Hall at Buford games are set to begin at 5:55 p.m.
