Soccer: Hester's two goals leads Lady Knights to win

WALNUT GROVE -- Hannah Hester had two goals to help lead the Johnson girls soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Walnut Grove in Region 8-AAAAA play Friday night.

Evelin Aviata had a goal and an assist for the Lady Knights (2-5-1, 2-1 Region 8-AAAAA).

Kelsey Dumanowsky scored first on an assist from Sandra Macedo midway through the first half and Hester tallied her first goal on an assist from Aviata with just nine seconds left in the first half.

Walnut Grove scored midway through the second half to cut the lead to 2-1 but Hester struck again six minutes and then Aviata scored with just under seven minutes left on a pass from Chandler Steele for the final score.

Johnson will be back in Region 8-AAAAA action on Tuesday traveling to Lanier.
