Class AAAAA: Miller Grove boys win their sixth straight state championship

MACON -- Keith Pinckney scored 21 points to lead Miller Grove to a 70-43 win over Warner Robins Friday in the GHSA Class AAAAA boys state championship at the Macon Coliseum.<br /> <br /> The Wolverines won their sixth consecutive state championship, extending their own record they set one year ago in Macon.<br /> <br /> Marquez Callaway led Warner Robins with 15 points.<br /> <br /> Miller Grove (28-5) outscored Warner Robins 26-7 in the third quarter to pull away after leading by five at the half. The Wolverines did much of the damage inside, outscoring Warner Robins 40-16 in the paint. Miller Grove scored 28 points in the paint in the second half, while the Demons managed 21 points in the half.<br /> <br /> The Demons (28-3) struggled shooting in two of their preceding playoff games and those issues continued as they shot 33 percent from the floor in the first half and made only two baskets from outside the paint.
