CUMMING - A portion of Parks Road from Georgia 306 to Burruss Mill Road
will be temporarily closed to through traffic beginning Monday, March 10, and is not likely to reopen until April 20.
The closure will allow for the construction of a box culvert at Six Mile Creek.
The work is part of a traffic safety improvement project funded by the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program, SPLOST VI, according to Forsyth County officials.
Nine students from Georgia Tech’s School of Industrial Design and fourteen students from the University of North Georgia’s doctoral program of Physical Therapy are spending the week on the Dahlonega school’s campus, collaborating to meet the needs of some special north Georgians who face unique physical and sensory challenges.
