Local playwrights bring original musical to the stage

GAINESVILLE - Blue Palm Productions announces that Donald Hutto and David Hutto, Gainesville natives, brothers and collaborators, have released their first musical entitled "Spin!" which will be performed on stage in northeast Georgia.<br /> <br /> "Spin!" was conceived by Donald Hutto, composer and owner of Blue Palm Productions, while the script and lyrics were written by David Hutto. It will be performed at The Sautee-Nacoochee Center on April 18-19 and at The Cumming Playhouse on August 6-8 with a cast and crew made up entirely of local talent from Hall and White counties.<br /> <br /> Blue Palm Productions develops and produces musicals and plays for live theater in the northeast Georgia area, providing a medium through which local playwrights, actors and musicians can perfect their craft and gain practical theater experience. <br /> <br /> Donald Hutto has over 35 years of songwriting and recording experience and has been involved in numerous theatrical productions as Assistant Musical Director and Lead Musician. David Hutto has over 40 years of writing experience, having written five novels, short stories, essays, poetry, two one-act opera libretti, song lyrics, and has had 12 short stories published.
