No students injured in Jackson Co. school bus accident

JEFFERSON - A Jackson County School bus was involved in a wreck involving two other vehicles Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened on Georgia 335 (Brockton Road).

Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said the bus was transporting East Jackson Elementary School students with nine children on board when it was struck by a car. No children were injured. The bus driver complained of an injury but it was not serious enough to require transport to a hospital.

As a result of the initial impact, a pickup following the bus struck the bus in the rear.
