DAHLONEGA - Lumpkin County authorities said an inmate that escaped from the county detention center Tuesday night is back behind bars.
Larry LaVaughan Farmer was taken back into custody around 11 p.m. Wednesday, almost 24 hours after his escape.
Farmer was re-arrested about one-half mile from the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office. At this point, there are no other details on how that arrest occurred.
Farmer now faces additional charges of escape and criminal interference with government property, both felony offenses.
