Spencer Davis grabs second Pro Late Model win at New Smyrna

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL - Spencer Davis has had a very successful SpeedWeeks in Florida so far.

The Dawsonville, GA speedster scored his second Pro Late Model feature victory Wednesday night in the World Series of Asphalt Racing at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Davis beat out Garrett Jones for the win. Second generation racer Harrison Burton, son of NASCAR Sprint Cup racer Jeff Burton, finished in third, with Brad May in fourth and Hunter Baize in fifth.

Davis' successful night wasn't limited to the Pro Late Model ranks, as he came home second to Stephen Nasse in the Super Late Model feature.

For Nasse, it marked his third SLM win in four starts during the World Series. Steven Wallace finished in third, with Kyle Benjamin in fourth and Ryan Moore in fifth.

In other action, Ron Silk scored the the win in the John Blewett III Memorial for Tour-Type Modifieds. Ryan Preece finished in second, with Tommy Barrett in third, Eric Goodale in fourth and Matt Hirschman in fifth.

In the Florida/IMCA Modified feature, Doug Moff crossed under the checkerd flag first, but failed post race inspection, handing the win to Todd Stone. Alan Bruns, Robbie Cooper, Tristan Anderson and John Sarppraicone, Jr. rounded out the top five.

The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing continues at New Smyrna Speedway though Feb. 22.
