Baseball roundup: Trojans fall, Dawson notches win in openers

GAINESVILLE -- North Forsyth doubled up North Hall to claim a 6-3 win on Wednesday in Gainesville.

Corbin Lewallen suffered the loss on the mound for the Trojans (0-1).

McCoy Savage and Andrew Smith each produced a hit and an RBI at the plate, and Micah Strickland also had hit.


The Tigers opened the season with a win over Pickens at home on Wednesday.

Logan Burt dominated from the mound and the plate for the Tigers (1-0), pitching five innings while no hits and striking out 13. Burt also went 3-for-3 at the plate.

Dawson County will travel to East Jackson at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
