Gainesville police search for school vandal

GAINESVILLE - Hall County School District officials said local law enforcement is looking for a vandal who was seen smashing the windows of a student's vehicle at the Lanier Charter Career Academy Wednesday morning.

The Hall County Sheriff's Department responded initially at 10 a.m. to an emergency call about the vandalism taking place in a school parking lot.

Witnesses said they saw the suspect running from the scene on Tumbling Creek Road. School officials said Sheriff's deputies and Gainesville police officers have been searching the area around campus

Gainesville Police will continue the investigation.
