GAINESVILLE - A Hall County school principal, Steve McDaniel, has been selected by the Georgia Association for Gifted Children to receive its 2014 Leadership Award.

McDaniel is principal at Spout Springs School of Enrichment.

"His leadership during the development and implementation of the (school's) charter was just extraordinary," said Dr. Sally C. Krisel, Director of Innovative & Advanced Programs for the county school system.

McDaniel will be honored at the Awards Ceremony during the GAGC Convention in Athens March 10.
