'Charles Dickens 'to appear on GTA-SouthernStage in Buford

GAINESVILLE - Actor James Ridge will portray Charles Dickens in a one-man play at 7:30, March 15 and 2:30, March 16, on the Sylvia Beard stage in the Buford Community Center in Buford.<br /> <br /> "Dickens In America" is an offering of GTA-SouthernStage, which began last year as a partnership between the Gainesville Theatre Alliance and the city of Buford. GTA, formed in 1979, is the nationally acclaimed collaboration between the University of North Georgia, Brenau University, theatre professionals and the north Georgia community.<br /> <br /> Ticket prices for the production, which is general admission, are $10 for adults and seniors, and $5 for students (of any age). Patrons can select and purchase seats on the website,, or by calling the GTA Box Office at 678-717-3624, Monday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm and Friday from 10:00-3:00.<br />
