Boys basketball: West Hall fends off North Hall

GAINESVILLE -- The West Hall boys basketball team closed out the regular season with a hardfought 59-55 win at North Hall on Saturday.

The Spartans (10-14, 5-9 Region 7-AAA) outscored the Trojans 18-14 in the fourth quarter to edge in front.

Hunter Atkinson paced West Hall with 14 points, while Nic Sullens scored 12. Tyquan Statham also scored 10.

Carson Heinen put up a game-high 26 points for North Hall in the defeat. Evan Easton also scored 12.

Both teams will play again on Wednesday in the first round of the Region 7-AAA tournament.
