Hoschton man arrested for burglary, false imprisonment

JEFFERSON - Jackson County authorities have arrested Joshua Adonis Finch, 35, of Hoschton on charges of burglary, armed robbery and three counts of false imprisonment.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum, the incident happened early in the morning on January 23 at a home off Bill Watkins Road in the western part of the county.

The victims reported that two black males entered the residence, armed with guns, and demanded money.

Finch and another suspect struck and assaulted the male victim with a gun, then ordered the female victims to remove all their clothing.

Money was taken from the residence, as well as cell phones and one of the victim's vehicle.

The unidentified victim's vehicle was later located a short distance from the residence.

Mangum said investigators determined that Finch was familiar with the victim and drugs played a role in the crime.

Finch is being held at the Jackson County Jail.
