Commerce outlets raise nearly $16K for Cancer Foundation of NE Ga.

COMMERCE - Tanger Factory Outlet Centers raised over $1.3 million to help in the fight against breast cancer during the 21st annual Tanger PinkSTYLE Campaign which took place in October. <br /> <br /> Company officials say $750,000 has been donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) and $550,000 has been donated to breast cancer organizations in local communities surrounding Tanger Outlet Centers nationwide. <br /> <br /> The Tanger Outlet Center in Commerce partnered with the Cancer Foundation of Northeast Georgia as this year's local beneficiary to the PinkStyle campaign which also included the 6th Annual 5k Run/Walk, raising nearly $16,000.<br /> <br /> Recently, the local Tanger management team presented a check to the the Cancer Foundation of Northeast Georgia in the amount of $10,321.76, which was comprised of funds raised from both the Tanger 5k and the PinkSTYLE promotion. According to Tanger general manager Mark Valentine, one-hundred percent of the earnings from the 5k event, or $7,630.75, were dedicated to their local partner & beneficiary and about half of the PinkSTYLE campaign stayed local as well.
