GDOT's planned work schedule in NE Ga. this week

GAINESVILLE - Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures. This is a tentative schedule; if emergency response is needed at a crash scene or if emergency repairs are necessary this schedule will change.<br /> <br /> Crews will work Monday, January 27 through Friday, January 31. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.<br /> <br /> WHERE and WHAT:<br /> <br /> Habersham - A crew will inspect the drainage pipes underneath SR 15/US 441 then slope alongside SR 255 will be repaired. The shoulders of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> Lumpkin - A crew will repair damaged drainage pipes under SR 115 and SR 9. A lane closure will be required as the pipe is replaced.<br /> <br /> Rabun -The slopes alongside SR 2/US 76 will be mowed using a long arm mower, the shoulder will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will replace sections of damaged guardrail on SR 15/US 441.<br /> <br /> Union - A crew will inspect the drainage pipes underneath SR 11/US 129 and SR 60, the shoulder of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> White - A crew will clean and restore the shoulders adjacent to SR 11/US 129. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs. A damaged pipe will be replaces on SR 115 near Long Branch. A lane closure is required for this work.<br /> <br /> Banks - A crew will clean and restore the shoulders alongside SR 198. The shoulder of the roadway will be closed as the work occurs. A crew will manually clean and inspect the drainage structures for SR 15/US 441. While another crew trims brush and trees inside the rights of way on SR 15/US 441. The shoulder of SR 15 will be closed as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> Elbert - A crew will service the driveways that intersect with SR 17.<br /> <br /> Franklin - A crew will inspect the drainage structures for SR 51 and SR 59.<br /> <br /> Hart - A crew will inspect the drainage structures and repair the rutting that has developed at the edge of the pavement for SR 172 and SR 77<br /> <br /> Madison - A crew will trim vegetation in rights of way alongside SR 98 and SR 106 will be trimmed using an extension arm trimmer.<br /> <br /> Stephens -A crew will be sealing the joints on the SR 17 Alternate bridge over the railroad tracks. A lane closure will be required as work occurs.<br /> <br /> Barrow - A crew will trim vegetation growing inside the rights of way then clean the drains under SR 211 and SR 124. The shoulders of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs. While another crew restripes faded pavement markings in Statham, lane closures will occur as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> Clarke - A crew will repair the shoulders alongside SR 10 Loop. The shoulders will be closed as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> Jackson - A crew will be repairing the slopes and paving the ditches alongside SR 15/US 441 at the Ingles in Commerce. The shoulders of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs. Another crew will clean up the shoulders and trim brush growing in the rights of way alongside SR 82. The shoulders of the roadway will be closed as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> A crew will inspect the cable barrier in the median of Interstate 85.<br /> <br /> Oconee - A crew will install Raised Pavement Markers (RPMs) on SR 184, SR 24 business and SR 53. RPMs are the reflective "buttons" on the lane lines of the roadway. A lane closure is required as this work occurs. Another crew will repair the ruts that have developed alongside the edge of pavement on SR 186 and SR 53. A lane closure and shoulder closure will occur as the work occurs.<br /> <br /> Walton - A crew will clean then restore the ditches and trim vegetation growing inside the rights of way alongside SR 10/US
