SUGAR HILL -- The Lumpkin County boys basketball team fell to Lanier 50-48 in a nip-and-tuck battle on Wednesday in Sugar Hill.
Malik Anderson scored 12 points, all on 3-pointers, to pace the Indians Lumpkin is (11-9, 2-3 Region 8-AAAA), while Johnny Gilreath added 11. Evan Bafile also scored 10.
Paul Webb scored 17 points for Lanier, while Peyton Smith added 12.
Lumpkin County will play host to Stephens County on Friday in Dahlonega.
