Girls basketball: Lady Warriors hold off Lady Spartans in fourth

CLEVELAND -- The White County girls basketball team prevailed over West Hall 39-32 on Friday in Cleveland.

The Lady Warriors (13-3, 5-2 Region 7-AAA) outscored the Lady Spartans 14-7 over the fourth quarter to seal the win.

Paige Thomas led White County with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Maia Booker scored 15 to pace West Hall (6-10, 0-7).

The Lady Spartans will look to bounce back Fannin County on Tuesday in Oakwood.

White County will play host to Banks County at 5 p.m. Monday.
