Girls basketball: Chestatee whips Lady Raiders

DANIELSVILLE -- The Chestatee girls basketball team remained unbeaten in Region 8-AAAA after taking a 62-45 win over Madison County Tuesday night.

The Lady War Eagles (14-3, 3-0 Region 8-AAAA) outscored Madison County 34-21 in the second and third quarters to rally from a first quarter deficit.

Kayla Watson paced Chestatee with 17 points. Savanna Long added 13 points and Bridgette Kelly had 10 points for the Lady War Eagles.

Chestatee next will play host to Eastside on Friday in another key Region 8-AAAA contest.
