DAHLONEGA -- The Lumpkin County boys basketball team held off Chestatee in the fourth quarter for a 82-78 win on Wednesday in Dahlonega.
The Indians went on a 7-0 run in the middle of the fourth quarter to grab a lead they would not relinquish, outscoring the War Eagles 26-20 over the final eight minutes.
The two teams battled back and forth over the first half, and Chestatee took a 57-56 lead after three quarters.
Johnny Gilreath scored a game-high 21 to pace Lumpkin County, while Daniel McCrary added 17 and Cal Thrailkill scored 16.
Jordan Stubblefield paced the War Eagles with 17 points. Jordan Pulliam scored 14, Hunter Creamer 11.
Chestatee will look to bounce back at home against Monroe Area on Friday, while Lumpkin County will look to keep rolling at Eastside.
