FLOWERY BRANCH - Tony Beatty, who plans to run for a seat on the Hall County Board of Commissioners this year, says he exceeded the end-of-year campaign fundraising goal he set for himself.
Beatty says he raised more than $11,500. His goal, he says, was $10,000.
In addition, he has already reported expenditures of $802.91, according to the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission. (See second link below.)
Beatty plans to run for the South Hall seat on the commission which is being vacated by Craig Lutz, who plans to run for the state Public Service Commission this year.
Beatty announced his candidacy last summer. (See first link below.)
