Police say Winder man died in bike accident

DACULA - Gwinnett County Police Thursday afternoon said it was a Winder man who died in a bicycle accident in Dacula Wednesday morning.

Police Sgt. R.D. Work identified the victim as 60-year-old Larry Steward.

Police said Steward had an accident on a trail in Harbins Park. Authorities believe he died from injuries suffered when he fell.

Police and rescuers used a helicopter to locate Steward following the accident.

The incident happened around 10:45 a.m., according to Work.
