EILENBURG, GERMANY -- Gainesville resident Tim Moon set a new record Friday at the WUAP World Championships.
Moon lifted 343 kilos (756.2 pounds) on his fourth attempt of the day. The record-setting lift came two misses and just a three minute break before his final attempt.
Moon took second place for overall best lifter and won his weight class. A super heavyweight lifter lifted 350 to win that honor.
Moon is a member of the Georgia IronDawgs Powerlifting squad based in Gainesville.
