Volleyball: Jefferson stays hot, swats Monroe Area, Johnson

MONROE -- The Jefferson volleyball team swept past Monroe Area and Johnson in straight sets on Thursday in Monroe.

The Lady Dragons (29-7) defeated Monroe Area 25-21, 25-13 before dropping Johnson 25-21, 25-8.

Grace Williamson had eight aces and 11 kills to lead Jefferson, while Madison Corbett added six aces and 14 assists. Bre Arbanas also had three aces and five kills, while Lindsey Nilsen added nine kills. Paige Watson also had 19 assists.

Jefferson travels to North Oconee on Thursday to finish the regular season.
