Volleyball: No. 8 East Hall sweeps at home

RABBITTOWN -- The Class AAA eighth-ranked East Hall girls volleyball team swept a pair of matches Thursday at home.

The Lady Vikings defeated Rabun County in straight sets 25-21, 25-14 and then beat Madison County 25-14, 25-21 to push their record to 23-12 on the season.

Tarryn Long had 26 kills and 10 digs and Cassida Shockley had 12 points on serve to go with seven digs and 33 assists for East Hall. Kara Hix had 12 points on serve, five kills and 36 digs and Ashleigh Burnett scored 15 points on and five kills and five digs for the Lady Vikings.

Allyson Segars had 12 points on serve, four aces, four kills and nine digs, and Savannah Lindsey had 10 digs or East Hall.

East Hall next will play host to Jackson County and West Hall on Tuesday.
