BUFORD -- The Buford softball team made quick work of Fannin County on Tuesday, picking up a 9-1 win in five innings on Tuesday in Buford.
Buford (17-1, 8-0 Region 7-AAA) struck for three runs in the first inning and never looked back, as Emily Crocker earned her fourth win of the season form the pitching circle, tossing a complete game while allowing just three hits one unearned run and one walk.
Tessa Daniels got the scoring parade going in the first, smacking a triple to left center field that scored Remington Hasty and Jordan Deep.
Daniels finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored, while Deep crushed a home run while going 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and three runs scored. Niki Cook also went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, run scored and a stolen base. Baylee Sexton also went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two stolen bases.
Buford travels to White County at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday.
