OAKWOOD -- Buford sophomores Kennedy Kotula and Peyton Wolfe teamed up to pitch a no-hitter on Thursday, as the Lady Wolves blanked West Hall 11-0 in five innings in Oakwood.

The victory represented Kotula's first varsity win, starting and pitching the first three innings while striking out four batters. Wolfe took over and pitched the last two innings, yielding just one walk.

Meanwhile, the Buford offense banged out 10 hits in five innings, five of those going for extra bases, including two home runs. The Lady Wolves (14-1, 7-0 Region 7-AAA) took the lead three batters into the ballgame when Jordan Deep went deep over the left-center field fence for a 1-0 lead.

Buford put the game out of reach with a six-run third inning, highlighted by a line drive, two-run homer from Morgan Walters (her sixth home run of the year).

Deep finished 2-for-2 with a home run, RBI and two runs scored, while Walters added two runs scored and two stolen bases to her two-run blast. Niki Cook also finished 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored, while Baylee Sexton added a double, RBI and two runs scored.
