Abby Black went 3-for-3 at the plate on Thursday, helping the East Hall softball team to a 7-4 victory over White County.

Natalie Winters earned the win in the pitching circle for the Lady Vikings, allowing four runs over seven innings while also striking out four and surrendering eight hits.

White County jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, as a double by Mary Ann Luna scored Brittany Cooper. But the Lady Vikings responded with two runs in the second inning on an RBI double by Madison Brown and an RBI single by Black and never trailed again.

East Hall posted one run each in the third, fifth and sixth innings. Emma House added an RBI in the third, plating Kali Turner.

White County fought back to knot the score on an RBI single by Morgan Sullens, but East Hall piled on two more runs in the top of the fourth. Eboni Burce started the inning with a triple, scoring Brown, followed by an RBI single from Turner.

White County again battled, pulling within 5-4, but would get no closer.

The Lady Vikings play Union County at East Hall Park at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
