Lawrenceville man dead in apparent homicide

By Staff
LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville man was found shot to death early Friday morning at a residence on Falling Water Lane in unincorporated Norcross.

Investigators with the Gwinnett Police Department said officers were called to the scene at 5:15 a.m. to investigate a break-in, but when they entered the home, they found 27-year-old Bryan Ritzert dead of a gunshot wound.

Authorities said the victim's roommates reported hearing a commotion during the overnight hours, but did not discover the crime until later.

There was forced entry into the home, according to investigators. They said robbery is a possible motive, but they have not confirmed that theory.
