Volleyball: Lady Knights split with Rabun, Lumpkin

Johnson split a pair of tough matches Thursday in girls volleyball action.

The Lady Knights rallied to beat Rabun County 20-25, 25-21, 25-20 but fell to Lumpkin County (18-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Kelly Chance had a big night for Johnson with 10 aces, five kills, and 11 assists. Brooke Balenger added 24 kills and four aces and Caitlin Parsons had four digs for the Lady Knights. Kasey Gravitt had seven assists.

Johnson (4-12, 1-1 Region 8-AAAA) next will play host to Monroe Area and North Oconee on Tuesday.
