Gainesville's Bishop takes second at Athens Jr. Shootout

STATHAM -- Gainesville High standout Jackson Bishop finished second in his division this weekend at the Athens Junior Shootout held at The Georgia Club.

Part of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour, the Shootout's 15-18-year-old boys title was claimed by Benjamin Shipp of Duluth.

Bishop was one stroke behind at 139 (7-under par), sinking eight birdies on the tournament and led the field in performance on par 3s.
