Softball: North Hall splits games to open regular season

The North Hall softball team split contests recently, defeating Gainesville but falling to Dawson County.

The Lady Trojans knocked off Gainesville 4-1 on Tuesday, led by a complete game performance from North Hall pitcher Hannah Meeler -- who struck out six.

Logan Savage was 2-for-3 at the plate to help lead the Lady Trojans, while Harper Seymour also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Kaitlin Edwards also had two RBIs.

North Hall also fell to Dawson County 11-7 on Thursday.

Ashlyn Brewster went 3-for-4 with three singles, a walk, and an RBI, while Carson McCormack added a double. Savage also had a single with an RBI, while Savage got on base during each at-bat with a single, two walks, and an error.

North Hall came back in the sixth from a 7-4 deficit and tied the game at 7-7. Dawson County scored four runs in the seventh and North Hall was unable to answer.
