By B.J. Williams News Director
JEFFERSON - Jackson County authorities rounded up 20 people at a party Friday night, charging most of them with underage alcohol possession.

Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said her office received an anonymous call Friday night advising that there were underage drinkers at a party at an address on Waterworks Road in the Jefferson area. She said when deputies arrived, they found a group of people in an open field.

Mangum said most were arrested without incident, but one juvenile attempted to leave the scene and hit a patrol car. She said one of her deputies was almost hit, as well.
