DeKalb cop killed responding to call for help

TUCKER - A DeKalb County police officer has died in a traffic accident while on duty.

Police say preliminary indications are that Officer Ivorie Klusman, 31, was responding to a call when his vehicle ran off the road a hit a tree at 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

Klusman died at the scene. He had been with the DeKalb County Police Department since October 2012.

The accident happened near the intersection of DeKalb Medical Parkway and Heritage Park Trail.
