Wreck ties up traffic north of Helen

HELEN - A single-vehicle wreck on Georgia Highway 75 north of Helen impacted traffic for about an hour Tuesday.

A northbound Chevrolet Trailblazer left the road and struck a rock embankment in the S-curves between Helen and Robertstown.

The wreck happened around 11:45 a.m. and the road reopened around 1 p.m.

Traffic initially was blocked in both directions, with northbound traffic backed up into downtown Helen and southbound traffic backed up into Robertstown.

No serious injuries were reported in the wreck.
