Teenager drowns in Georgia lake

By The Associated Press
MCDONOUGH (AP) - Henry County fire officials say a teenage boy has drowned in Lake Dow.

Capt. Sabrina Puckett says divers were called to the lake in McDonough Monday afternoon after a caller reported that a boy jumped from a dock and didn't resurface.

Officials say the teen's body was found about 30 feet from the dock in about 15 feet of water. Officials say signs posted near the private lake say the water is for fishing only and that swimming is prohibited.

Authorities have not identified the teen but say he was visiting from the Albany area.

McDonough is about 30 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
