GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Sheriff's Office Friday afternoon released details in a sexual assault case that resulted in one arrest.
Investigators got the case after getting a call to Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Saturday, June 29, according to Deputy Chad Mann.
A 14 year old year old girl had arrived at the hospital with her mother reporting that she had been raped.
"She (the victim) and two other females met with three males over in Barrow County, and from there, they traveled back to Gainesville where the incident allegedly happened," Mann said.
The victim told investigators that one of the males had raped her.
Mann said authorities followed up with further investigation and interviews and sought warrants for 18 year old Emcee Dante Weaver of Winder. They made the arrest last Friday.
"He's presently sitting in the Hall County Jail and Detention Center awaiting further court proceedings," Mann said.
Weaver is charged with aggravated child molestation and statutory rape.
