Prayer vigil planned for missing man

ATHENS - Family and friends are planning a prayer vigil Thursday for a Nicholson man, missing since late May.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, 25 year old Joshua Scott Adams was reported missing May 21, the same day his car was found in the area of 1145 Brockton Loop in Jefferson.

He's described as 6'2" and 210 pounds. Authorities said he has brown eyes and short brown hair.

The prayer vigil is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. from The Church at Southside at 100 Crooked Creek Road, Athens, according to Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum. The church is between Arcade and Athens, just off Highway 129.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Josh Adams' location.

Authorities ask anyone with information call the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at (706) 367 8718.
