GAINESVILLE - The trial for a Cornelia woman facing federal explosives and gun charges is scheduled to get underway Tuesday morning.
Bob Paige, Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Georgia, confirmed Monday that the trial for Celia Savage is expected to start at 10:00 a.m. in federal court in Gainesville.
Federal agents found two pipe bombs and a number of guns, as well as illegal drug paraphernalia and suspected illegal drugs in Savage's home last Spring. Her attorney has argued the government was too aggressive in pursuing her.
Savage has been out of jail on bond for a year.
The trial has been re-scheduled several times.
