Falcons training camp will feature session at Bobby Gruhn Field

By staff
The Atlanta Falcons will hold the 2013 Russell Atlanta Falcons Training Camp at the team's Flowery Branch headquarters for the ninth consecutive year. Atlanta's 48th training camp will have select practices open to the public from July 25 to Aug. 11.

The Falcons will conduct 33 sessions, including walkthroughs and practices, at their training facility. For the fourth time in as many years, the Falcons will conduct combined practices during training camp. Atlanta will practice with the Cincinnati Bengals in Flowery Branch, on Monday, Aug. 5 and Tuesday, Aug. 6. The Falcons hosted combined practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots in Flowery Branch in 2010, traveled to Jacksonville in 2011 and held combined practice with the Tennessee Titans in Dalton, GA in 2012.

On Friday, Aug. 2, the Falcons are pleased to present Kia Motors "Friday Night Lights," which will be held at Bobby Gruhn Field at City Park Stadium in Gainesville.

"Gainesville High School is honored to partner with our Atlanta Falcons to present the Friday Night Lights program," Gainesville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Merrianne Dyer said. "The Atlanta Falcons have supported Gainesville City Schools as an active partner with the Falcons on the First Down for Fitness Program as well as our partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County in providing fitness and leadership programs in our schools. Athletic director Wayne Vickery and coach Bruce Miller have made this event possible for us, and we are looking forward to sharing our historic football field with the Falcons."

More details, including parking availability surrounding City Park, will be released in coming weeks.

Atlanta Falcons Youth Weekend will take place Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, during which children ages 17 and under will have the opportunity meet Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders and enter several contests to win prizes.

Below are the details of the 2013 Russell Atlanta Falcons Training Camp practice schedule. Dates and times are subject to change.
