Tennis: Lady Red Elephants dominate 8-AAAAA opener

The Gainesville girls tennis team swatted Cedar Shoals 5-0 in its first Region 8-AAAAA match of the season on Monday.<br /> <br /> Brinkley Frankum won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, while Georgia Summer won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 2 singles. Katherine Wright also swept 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3 singles, while the doubles teams of Morgan Mercer/Lauren Carter and Martha McKinnon/Katherine Anderson each prevailed 6-0, 6-0.
