Five Jackson Co. teens arrested for sexual assault

By Staff
JEFFERSON - Five teenage boys have been arrested in Jackson County and charged with the sexual assault of a juvenile girl.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office said the five were arrested after the victim's mother filed a complaint. She told investigators that the five teens drove her child to a residence in the county where the sexual assaults occurred in late January.

Jackson County authorities asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to join their investigation. They conducted a forensic interview and evaluation with the victim, as well as a search at the location where the assaults were alleged to have happened. Investigators said they recovered several pieces of evidence corroborating the victim's statement.

The suspects and charges filed against them are listed below:

-Joshua Lee Saucier, 17, was charged with Child Molestation, Aggravated Child Molestation and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree.

-Nicholas Wayne Joiner, 18, was charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, Child Molestation and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree.

-Montel Eugene Reynolds, 18, was charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, Party to the Crime of Child Molestation and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree.

The two male juvenile suspects were charged with Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, Child Molestation, Aggravated Child Molestation, Aggravated Sexual Battery and Cruelty to Children in the First Degree.

Authorities are looking for a third juvenile suspect in the case.
