ATHENS -- The Chestatee girls soccer team opened the 2013 season with a win on the road, clipping Cedar Shoals 5-0 on Wednesday in Athens.
Sadie Foote led the Lady War Eagles, scoring a hat-trick. Nikki Bellue and Alexis Rebollar also scored for the Lady War Eagles (1-0).
The defense, led by Samantha Addington and Jesse Stephens, held firm in securing the shutout. Bailey Hooper, Jacelyn Sanchez, and Britney Reyes added to the defensive effort with exceptional play.
Mary Ashley Easterwood provided strong support out of midfield.
Chestatee will play host to East Hall on Friday.
