8-AAAAA tournament: Falcons advance with OT win over Heritage

BETHLEHEM -- The Flowery Branch boys advanced to the quarterfinals of the Region 8-AAAAA tournament after holding off Heritage 49-45 in overtime in the first round at Apalachee High School.

Jamaad Stephens led the Falcons (8-17) with 16 points. Nick Wayne had 13 points for Flowery Branch.

Flowery Branch next will take on No. 1 seed Gainesville. The two teams split suring the regular season.
