Ga. police review use of Taser on fighting girls

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta police say they investigating whether an officer followed correct protocol when he used a Taser to stop a fight between two girls at a middle school.

WXIA-TV reports the officer was working at Inman Park Middle School on Friday when he used the Taser to jolt the girls, ages 12 and 13, to break up a fight outside the school.

Both girls were charged with fighting in public. Their identities were not released because both are minors.

Atlanta police say they are reviewing video footage and audio recorded by the Taser to determine of the officer's response was warranted.
