GSH students collecting recyclable electronics

By Staff
GAINESVILLE - Two Gainesville High SChool (GHS) Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students are competing in the STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) event "Environmental Ambassador."

They built a cardboard "tree" with a collection box in the trunk for the recycling of electronics. Students, teachers and members of the general public can recycle any broken, old, or out of date electronics by dropping them off in the GHS vocational office or the main GHS office.

Sara Brown and Iridian Pacheco are the two students working on this project and their goal is to raise 100 used electronics by Feb. 16.
