GBI joins search for missing Franklin Co. woman

By Staff
CARNESVILLE - The GBI has now joined the sheriff's department in Franklin County in the search for a single mother who has been missing for more than a week.

Special Agent Mike Ayers told Fox 5 Atlanta that the GBI joined the investigation Wednesday after local authorities requested assistance in their search for Bonny Anne Cooner, 33, of Carnesville.

Ayers said Cooner was last seen at her home.

Right now, GBI investigators are interviewing Cooner's family, friends and acquaintances and they are reviewing her phone records.

Ayers would not say if investigators believe Cooner's disappearance is criminal in nature.

Cooner has a 12-year-old son, according to the television station.
