Hall Co. authorities investigating Gainesville death

GAINESVILLE - Hall County authorities are investigating a death in Gainesville that occurred Saturday night.

According to Sgt. Mark Mitchell of the Hall County Sheriff's Office, deputies and investigators discovered a deceased male subject upon responding to a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Tulip Drive in Gainesville.

Mitchell identified the victim as 24-year-old Rashawn Miguel Taylor of Gainesville. He said Taylor was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Mitchell said investigators are looking for a maroon in color 2003 Nissan Altima, tag PJB 3588 that may have been in the area. He said that no one else was injured, and that no further information is available regarding a suspect or suspects. The incident remains under investigation.
