Final suspect in Woodstock murder is behind bars

KENNESAW - After the arrest of the first two in Dawson County Tuesday, Cherokee County authorities said the third and final suspect in a weekend murder was arrested Wednesday afternoon.

Cherokee County Sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said his department and Cobb County Police arrested Benson Kyle Lloyd, 28, of Jasper. Baker said Lloyd was hitting golf balls in the PGA Tour Superstore on George Busbee Parkway in Kennesaw.

The two other suspects, John Michael Taylor, 27, of Ackworth and Krystle Gail Taylor, 27, of Dawsonville were arrested in Dawson County.

John Taylor barricaded himself in a house, holding authorities at bay for about three hours Tuesday. Officers moved in and made the arrest while Taylor was using methamphetamine, Cherokee County Sheriff Roger Garrison told Fox 5.

The three were wanted for the Sunday murder of Christopher Pierce in Woodstock.

Authorities earlier said the suspects are suspected drug users, and the murder is likely drug-related.
